Teenage Adventure Camps originated in Tasmania (TAC-T). A wonderful Rotarian by the name of Quentin Hughes noticed a need for a charity to cater for teenagers with life threatening illnesses living in country Tasmania, to be brought together and to participate in joint activities.
After being involved with and seeing the success of TAC-T since 1993, a group of residents of the Gold Coast decided that this was the type of group they would like to be involved with and assist.
TAC-Q was formed in October 1995 with the first camp taking place in January 1996. TAC-Q is incorporated in Queensland and is a registered benevolent society under the taxation act. All donations over two dollars made to Teenage Adventure Camps - Queensland are tax deductible.
